Simplified Novell Client Installation
To uninstall previous client, right-click Network Neighborhood/My Network Places and choose properties. Select Novell Client and remove it. Restart computer.

Since version 4.9.x the client may be uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

We no longer support the Win9x version of the Novell Client.

Win9x - Client Version 3.3x

Custom Installation: IP only (remove IPX if present)
unless user needs IPX for other network access

Services to install:

Imaging Service, Remote Management, Workstation Manager

Settings to change after install:

(Right-click Novell ‘N’ in system tray choose properties)
Advanced Menu Settings:

Enable Send Message = Off

Enable Send Message to Server = Off

Enable Send Message to User = Off

Win2k - Client Version 4.8x

Custom Installation: IP only (remove IPX if present)

unless user needs IPX for other network access

Services to install:

Imaging Service, Remote Management, Workstation Manager, App Launcher

Settings to change after install:

(Right-click Novell ‘N’ in system tray choose properties)
Advanced Login Tab: Default Policy should be checked

Advanced Settings: File Caching = Off

Advanced Menu Settings:

Enable Send Message = Off

Enable Send Message to Server = Off

Enable Send Message to User = Off

Note: All other required settings are set by default.
