so i’ve had this theory for a few years now. i was just reading some material that reminded me of it. basically what i was reading suggested that you can go to business school and so on, but having good business sense is like an innate ability. you either have it or you don’t. no amount of anything is going to force you to have it.

i find this sort of thinking to be true. and by that i don’t mean that unless you have an innate ability in something that you can’t succeed. not at all, someone without natural talent in a subject could quite easily become average, above-average, or even great (with practice) at something. those that are born with it though, can become extraordinary.

i’m not at all relating this to myself. just.. over the years i’ve witnessed quite a few people try to get into computery related fields – tech support, programming, networking, etc. and really they have the knack for the field or not…
